What we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Zoyaz ("Zoyaz," "we," "us," or "our") provides a property and home appliance management application, accessible at zoyaz.com and app.zoyaz.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
When you sign up, we collect your name and email address. Authentication is handled by our database provider, which also stores your encrypted password credentials — we do not see or store your password in plain text.
Information you enter into the Service, including but not limited to property addresses, appliance details (brand, model, serial number, purchase date, warranty information), maintenance records, uploaded documents (receipts, warranties, insurance policies, inspection reports), and appliance photos.
If you upgrade to Zoyaz Paid, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full credit card number — Stripe handles this directly, and we retain only a customer reference and subscription status.
We may automatically collect limited technical information necessary to operate the Service, such as browser type and general error/diagnostic logs, in order to maintain reliability and troubleshoot issues.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do use limited advertising measurement tools (see "Cookies & advertising technologies" below) to understand how people find Zoyaz, but we don't share your property, appliance, or account data with advertisers.
Zoyaz Paid includes an AI-powered label scanner and manual finder. When you use the label scanner, the photo you take of an appliance's label is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing, in order to read and extract information such as brand, model, serial number, and voltage. This request is made from our own server rather than directly from your device.
Anthropic processes this image solely to return the extracted text to Zoyaz; it is not used to train Anthropic's models under our current API usage terms. We do not separately store a copy of the raw photo beyond what's needed to complete the scan, unless you choose to save it yourself as part of an appliance record.
We use cookies and similar technologies from advertising platforms, such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google, to measure the performance of our ad campaigns — for example, to see whether someone who clicked an ad went on to create an account. These providers may set cookies or collect device and browser information on zoyaz.com and app.zoyaz.com for this purpose.
We do not use this data to build advertising profiles for sale, and we do not share your property, appliance, or account data with these platforms. The information involved is limited to standard web analytics and conversion events (such as "signed up" or "started trial"). You can limit this tracking using your browser's cookie settings or your device's ad-tracking controls.
We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate Zoyaz, each acting as a data processor on our behalf:
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party for marketing purposes beyond the limited advertising measurement described above. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zoyaz, our users, or others.
We retain your account and property data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or accounting purposes (for example, Stripe transaction records).
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted data storage and transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can access, update, or delete most of your property and appliance data directly within the app at any time. You may also:

Zoyaz is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
